Business Skills Provisional Visa and Business Skills Residence Visas

Under a new two-stage Business Migration scheme introduced on the 1st March 2003, business migrants are granted a four year Business Skills Provisional Visa. Once establishing the required level of business or maintaining the eligible investment, migrants can apply for a Business Skills Residence visa.

You can still apply for direct permanent residence under the Business Talent Visa. This Visa is available for high-calibre business migrants sponsored by State/Territory governments.

Listed below are the 4 categories of the Business Skills program

Business Owner (Provisional) Visa
This visa is for successful owners or part-owners of a business.

Senior Executive (Provisional) Visa
This visa is for successful senior executive employees of major businesses.

Investment Linked (Provisional) Visa
This visa for at successful investors/business people willing to invest into Australia

Business Talent Visa
This visa is for high-calibre business people who have sponsorship from a State/Territory government.

The Business Skills program also has two categories for persons who are in Australia on temporary visas, other than the Business Skills (Provisional) visas:

Established Business in Australia category
This visa is for owners or part owners of a business, who are temporarily in Australia

Regional Established Business in Australia category
This visa is for owners or part owners of a business in a designated area of Australia, who are temporarily in Australia.
