UK citizens can benefit from a reciprocal healthcare
agreement with Medicare. This allows UK citizens only
access to limited, subsidised health services for immediately
necessary treatment while visiting Australia. Immediately
necessary treatment means any ill-health or injury which
occurs while you are in Australia and requires treatment

you take out specific travel insurance prior to your departure
to not only cover any unexpected medical costs but to
also ensure that you do not incurred any other unnecessary
costs as a result of travelling.
